She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from George Mason University and is MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) and Strong (Strong Interest Inventory) qualified. She has a management background with Xerox Corporation and Marriott International.
As a trainer, writer, and practitioner Ms. Kaplan provides consulting services to public and private sector organizations. A frequent guest speaker/lecturer and consultant for business, academic, community, association, and governmental organizations, her clients have included the World Bank, United States Department of State, Unisys Corporation, EDS, First Virginia Bank, INOVA Health Systems, Northern Virginia Community College, Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy, Virginia Employment Commission, Fairfax County Public Libraries, Fairfax County Public Schools, Institute of Internal Auditors, and Association of Part-Time Professionals.
